If you are invited somewhere or received a gift, it’s important to acknowledge the invitation or gift with a thank you gift in return. Instead of just sending the same old boring thank you card make saying thank you special by sending a box of cookies. People love cookies and they are the perfect way to say thank you to someone who has invited you to dinner, sent you a gift or done something nice for you.

If you don’t have the time to bake cookies or don’t bake there are boutique shops that sell specialty cookies. You can either buy ones already made or place a special order of custom baked cookies. You can go for the traditional cookies such as chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, or butter cookies. Or you can let your imagination run wild and with the help of the baker create thank you cookies that will stay in the memory for a long time.

You can send a bouquet of thank you cookies that look like a bouquet of flowers. These cookies are shaped like flowers and are also decorated to look exactly like a rose, tulip or a variety of other flowers. Try sending a bouquet of peanut butter balls or rum balls as thank you cookies.

You can also send giant cookies. You can either buy one or make one yourself. Giant cookies are usually the size of dinner plates. If you are buying one you can have it decorated with a thank you message. You can make or buy any type of giant cookies. You can also make it in any shape you wish. Try sending a loved one a thank you cookie in the shape of a heart. Or send a giant thank you cookie that has a giant smile on it and says thank you. If you prefer to bake a giant cookie you will need a large cookie sheet to allow room for the cookie to spread.

A special thank you cookie would be ones that are filled with fillings such as ice cream, pudding, or a delicious nut filling. To make them really special bake them yourself. Filled cookies are usually hand shaped. The dough is rolled out flat, cut, then filling placed in the center of each piece then rolled and shaped. They take a bit of time to make but in the end you have cookies that are a great thank you gift.

If you know the person you are sending the thank you cookies too only like plain cookies you can still turn them into a special thank you gift. You can buy plain sugar cookies and make a filling out of marshmallows or other types of filling and create your own sandwich cookies. Or you can dip sugar or butter cookies in chocolate to have hand dipped chocolate cookies.
No matter if you bake or send thank you cookies to thank someone, make sure they send a special thank you message that long after the cookies are gone they will remember.
